    1. Awesome Tonnie! I am also a School Wellness Major. I wanted to minor in Adapted Physical Activity as well, but unfortunately can't fit it into my schedule. I wish you the best of luck. Work hard on your grades to finish out the semester! :)

    1. We need more Phys Ed teachers with your attitude. I like it. It has to be done with passion being a teacher as you impact a lot of young kids lives. Building them up is huge in their growth before reaching adulthood.

    1. I am very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I am sure she was a great woman! Keep your head up R.J. Remember it is ok to take time to grieve. Everyone handles things in their own way. Your family will be in my thoughts.

    1. Michael I l really enjoy your blog. I liked the idea of the I in diet. It really does come down to the individual and their end goal. I know for me I have stuck with the same diet for almost 2 years now and I feel great. You gotta do whats good for you and what makes you happy.

    1. I have never gone diving but it is on my bucket list! This is really cool that slippery rock offers this through their aquatics courses. Open water certificate would be cool to get. I would prefer diving in the ocean.

    1. Healthy hydration is often looked past by the general public, however for us health professionals we know the necessary nutrients and the "sports beverages" with added sugars and the difference. My mom is a dental hygienist and alwas stressed about the importance of using water, real water for hydration not Gatorade.

    1. Overtraining is a very real thing. Many people who are not knowledgeable about this subject escalate the risk factors as far as them injuring themselves. The body is truly an amazing thing but like a vehicle it needs oil and rest and proper maintenance otherwise you will run it to the ground.

    1. Stretching before lifting is a huge factor. Don't forget to do a cool down of passive stretching. Warm up should be a PDSI progressive dynamic specific intensity while the cool down stretch should be only static. Nice blog!

    1. Great ideas Hannah! I agree that it is hard to start becoming healthier. I also think it is important to figure out a plan. I always struggle with keeping a consistent diet. Thanks for your tips!

    1. I can not tell you the amount of times I end up buying foods that I do not intend to. This happens a lot even if I do have a list. What I do to ensure and to maintain a healthy eating style is that if I do decide to add foods not on the list Ill make sure it is either a fruit or vegetable.

    1. This is helpful information. I never knew that the number you should keep your eye on for added sugar was no more than 10 grams. I only try to take in my daily sugar intake of 35 grams through mostly fruits.

    1. I have never heard of using applesauce to replace oil. Thank you for the helpful tip. It is hard to eat healthy all the time. I will try using applesauce the next time I cook something. I'm excited to see the difference in taste.
